Lost Wax Casting

A technique that has revolutionized the goldsmith world; instead of being made in metal, the object is made in wax starting from a block that is carved with different tools and techniques. At the end a prototype of a ring, bracelet or another object is obtained; thanks to the lost wax casting technique the object is then transformed into an exact copy in the precious metal. The success of this technique is in the workmanship speed and the cheapness of the materials and tools used. All the materials and tools used are provided by the School, included in the course fee.
