Professional goldsmith

This is the most popular precious metal working course. Essential for those who want to pursue a profession, but also highly satisfying for all enthusiasts who want to cultivate goldsmith as a simple hobby. Students will learn all the most important workshop techniques by making various goldsmith objects, from the simplest to the most complex, designed by the School for the best learning. The metal we use for teaching is 925% silver. Given its characteristics, it’s considered as the ideal metal to learn with. All objects, tailor-made, will remain students property, who will thus be able to keep everything they make.

A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the Course program.

Program

Precious metals, their characteristics and alloys. Preparation of jewellery alloys, melting, rolling and wiredrawing. Workbench fabrication of goldsmith and jewellery objects and related techniques (fretwork, gas+air soldering and use of the micro-flame, use of the flex shaft, milling, chasing, doming, tube making, clasp making, settings etc., ring and bracelet sizing). Final polishing and quality control with 10X lens.

Days and shifts

Available from Monday to Thursday.
Shifts: 9 a.m. – 12 noon, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m., 7 p.m. – 9.30 p.m.
Sometimes we have a shift at lunch break: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. (ask at the School’s Office).

Silver is provided by the School, included in the price of the Course.
